Wayne Harbuck, 75, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Lufkin, Texas. A Celebration of Life service for Wayne Harbuck will be at the Groveton Funeral Home Saturday, the 15th at 2:00 P.M.

Wayne was born in Lufkin, TX on December 27, 1941 to Rayford and Carrie Harbuck. He graduated from Lufkin High School and joined the United States Navy. While serving his country he studied mechanical and electrical engineering. After leaving the Navy he met and married Vaunda Kennedy, on November 6, 1964.

Wayne enjoyed a long career working for Lufkin Industries, Cameron Iron Works, CAB-Flang, and eventually for himself at Harbuck Services. When he wasn't at work he was hunting, fishing, or driving his hot rod.

Wayne and Vaunda attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Groveton, TX.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Vaunda Harbuck; daughter Monica Donaldson and husband Todd of The Woodlands, TX; son Darrell Harbuck of Houston, TX; grandchildren Colby Harbuck, Monica Harbuck, and Ross Donaldson; brother Roger Harbuck and wife Trudi of Huntington, TX; sister Novie Doyle of Lufkin, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many dear friends.
