Funeral services for Wayne Allen Gibson, Sr., 65, of Groveton, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Homer with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating. Interment will take place in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston, Texas at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. until service time on Friday.

Mr. Gibson was born on June 5, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Frank and Dorothy Gibson and entered into God's presence on Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. He worked in construction for numerous years but he most enjoyed working as a mechanic, fixing old cars or whatever came into the shop. He loved spending time with his family, socializing with friends and was most happy when he was able to help others. He enjoyed playing pool and playing numerous other games. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many people.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Buddy and Joe and by a sister, Bobbie. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving children, daughter, Melissa Watkins, of Groveton and son, Wayne Gibson, Jr., of Groveton; his four sisters, Mary, Carolyn, Linda and Betty; three grandchildren, Sean Allen, Chase and Jessica; many nieces, nephews and a host of other loved ones and friends.

Pallbearers: Sean Allen Delacruz, Chase Gibson, Bruce Whitley, James Jr., Nash, Frank Gibson, Kicko Mendez, Chris Mendez and Sam Elrod.
