Vicki Rene' Reece, 55, passed away on October 15, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas, after facing tragic health complications. She was born on January 25, 1969, in Lufkin to her loving parents, Albert Reece, Jr. and Mary Smith.

Vicki was a 1987 graduate of Groveton High School and went on to pursue her passion for cosmetology. Her natural talent shone through in her work, and she excelled in the beauty industry for many years, earning the admiration and respect of her clients and colleagues. Vicki's creativity and skill were widely recognized, and one of her proudest moments was receiving a personal check from a former employer for her exceptional work.

Later in life, she took a different path, working in security at Love Field Airport in Dallas, Texas. Despite her career shifts, Vicki's passion for crafts remained constant. She was known for her beautifully crafted gift baskets and floral arrangements, which showcased her artistic flair. In her free time, she also loved traveling and singing with her church family, where she found comfort and joy.

Vicki is survived by her children: her daughter, Erica Calvin, and her son, Patrick Glenn; her father, Albert Reece, Jr.; her mother, Mary Smith; her brother, Christopher Reece; her beloved grandchildren, Aaydin, Adonis, and Arrian Calvin, and Khalil Glenn; and her special nephew, Maverick Reece. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ella Mae Reece and Albert Reece, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Irene Smith and Dock Smith; and her stepson, Caanan Glenn.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Baldwin Chapel Baptist Church in Groveton, Texas, with Rev. Owens officiating. Vicki will be laid to rest at Parker Ridge Cemetery in Groveton.
