Timothy Alan Anderson age 53 of Apple Springs was born on February 7, 1960 in Hobbs, New Mexico to his parents, Clarence and Juanita (Morris) Anderson and passed away on September 30, 2013 at a hospital in Houston, Texas after a hard battle with cancer. He was raised in the Church of Christ Church. Tim enjoyed the outdoors where he could go fishing and be in the country. He also loved to garden.

He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Anderson and his sister, Sandra Maria Anderson. His survivors include his wife, Vickie Blanton, of Houston; son, James Anderson and wife, Ashley, of Apple Springs; daughter, Courtney Blanton, of Houston; mother, Juanita Anderson, of Apple Springs; sisters, Judith Ann Anderson, of Houston and Lesley Ellen White, of Damascus; three grandchildren, Hunter Anderson, Aiden and Emma Blanton. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation for Mr. Anderson will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Groveton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Timothy Alan Anderson will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home with Rodger Floyd officiating. Interment will follow the services in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Apple Springs. He will be escorted to his final resting place by his pallbearers James Anderson, Chris Anderson, Ben Anderson, Phillip Davis, Eddie Kesner and Bryant Chauvin.
