Tilden Sayers Carmichael Jr. passed from this life on December 27, 2020 in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 93 years.  He was born in Houston, Texas on June 4, 1927 to Tilden Sayers Carmichael Sr. and Maude Davis.

He had finished high school and went to college.  T.S. worked as an electrician for most of his career. He also belonged to the International Brotherhood of electrical workers.  Tilden was also a member of the Prairie View United Methodist church. As well as also belonging as a member of Eastern Star Lodge 284 AF&AM.

Tilden is preceded in death by his parents, Tilden Sayers Carmichael Sr. and Maude Davis; wife, Alyce Belle Wood.  His survivors include son, Steven Eugene Carmichael; daughter, Sandra Louise Rice; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends, also survive.

Visitation will begin at 12 PM until service time at 2 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Prairie View United Methodist, TX with Rev. Jeff Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, TX.
