Thomas Franklin Pate, age 77, of the Scrub Creek Community in Groveton, Texas was born in Pasadena, Texas on July 25, 1941 and passed away on March 26, 2019 in Lufkin, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. G.W. Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nogales Prairie, Texas.

Mr. Pate is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Minor Pate and Grace (Yates) Pate and son, Robert Kevin Borders. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Carter) Pate of the Scrub Creek Community in Groveton, Texas; daughter, Contessa Archuletta "Tess" of Mountainair, New Mexico; daughter, Michelle Comacho of Mountainair, New Mexico; daughter, Nicole Torres and husband, David Torres of Mountainair, New Mexico; daughter, Jennifer Borders of New Jersey; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other beloved relatives and friends also, survive.
