Funeral services for Mr. Terry Lynn Carr, 47 of Groveton, Texas will be held at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 at the River of Life Church in Trinity, Texas with Reverend Michael Don Loftin officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornton Cemetery in Glendale, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday evening at Groveton Funeral Home beginning at 6:00p.m. until 10:00p.m.

Terry was born August 31st, 1968 in Pasadena, Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 19th, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his mother Charlene (Law) Carr.

Terry graduated from Groveton High School with the class of 1987 and later married his high school sweetheart Karen Snyder. He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his sons. He never hesitated to express his feelings. Terry was the best father that his boys could ever have asked for as a parent. He was the rock that his family stood upon. He had a genuine love for children and he enjoyed reading to his youngest son Gavan about Hank the Cow Dog and going to watch Little League baseball games. He also enjoyed watching or playing a little football with his family. Terry also had a deep love for spending time in the Piney Woods and learned a many of life's lessons along with how to hunt and fish. He especially loved to Turkey hunt and teaching his son's about the outdoors. Terry was a life member of Masonic Lodge #284 AF & AM.

Terry is survived by his wife of 29 years Karen Carr of Groveton, Texas; his three sons Garet Lynn Carr of Lafayette, Louisiana, Guner Jake Carr of Jena, Louisiana and Gavan Alexander Carr of Groveton, Texas; his father Horace Leonard Carr, Jr. of Glendale, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law Tommy J. Carr and Bridget L. Carr of Glendale, Texas and his nephew Clay Carr of Glendale, Texas. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many, many friends.
