Funeral Services for Syble Gibbons Weathers, 97 of Friendswood, Texas will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas. Interment will follow in the Possum Walk "East Prairie" Cemetery with Rev. Ben Bagley officiating.
Ms. Weathers was born August 13, 1913 to William Gibbons and Viola Ernestine Parkerand passed away December 24, 2010 in a Nursing Facility in Katy, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Marie Simpson Homann of Clear Lake, Texas; Son-in-law, Gustav Homann; Grandaughter, Vivienne Leigh (John Paul ) Baranowski of Katy, Texas, Grandaughter,Vanessa Renee Homann (Roger Kevin) Anderson of Sequin, Texas; GreatGrandchildren, Stephanie Marie and Meridith Leigh Baranowski, both of Katy, Texas and Joshua Homann Anderson of San Antonio,Texas; Great-Great Grandchildren, Sophie Kirsten, Sage Nicole Anderson and Sean Brandon Anderson of New Braunfels and Ethan Michael Leal of Katy, Texas. Several nieces and nephews and friends also survive.
