Stanley Russell Ward was born on July 30, 1947 in Houston, Texas to the late Lee Preston Ward, Jr. and Glenna (Clayton) Ward and passed away September 21, 2015 at his home in Corrigan. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. He loved the Lord and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Corrigan. He worked as a Master Electrician as well as a Master Plumber. Mr. Ward proudly served in the United States Marines in his earlier years and afterwards he enjoyed working and living life. He was a man with a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke. Stanley loved to party and didn't mind drinking a cold beverage with his friends. He loved to go fishing and he enjoyed spending time with his pet dog, Merlin. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends of the Carmona Third Thursday Club. Stanley loved to travel with his friends and go to the casinos. He especially enjoyed traveling to Vietnam.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife Minh Nguyen of Corrigan; his children, son James Blacketer and wife Bethany, son Earl Ward and wife Rebeca, daughter Mary Ward and husband Trey and daughter Than Le; grandchildren James, Jr., Tyler, Chris, Wesley, Joshua, Noah, Elijah, Benjamin, Maribell and Matthew; great grandchild Emma; two brothers Lee Ward and wife Stephanie and William Ward and wife Aubrey and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee Preston Ward, Jr. and Glenna Ward and a sister Kathy Ward.
