Shirley Ann Turner, of Cypress, TX, formerly of Groveton, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the age of 86, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Shirley was born on April 20, 1935, in Groveton, Texas to parents, Henry Hager and Ivy (Smith) Hager.
Shirley was a selfless woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Shirley enjoyed playing cards and doing crafts. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shirley was a member of the Methodist Church.

Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughters: Megan Oltman and husband, Sean of Huntsville, TX, Kay Wheeler and husband, Nicholos of Houston; grandchildren: Suzanne Lang and husband, David of Cypress, TX, Lake Elizabeth Oltman of Huntsville, TX; Great Grandchildren: Zoe Elizabeth, Ivy Charlize, and Isadora Eleanor, all of Cypress, TX; and a host of other relatives, and many friends also survive.

Shirley is preceded in death by her loving parents, Henry, and Ivy (Smith) Hager; husband: William G. Turner; infant son: Michael Bedgood; son: Kenneth Marc Bedgood; brothers: Dalton, Walton, Henry Jr. Hager, Douglas Hager; sister: Margurite Williams.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with David Lang officiating. Visitation will begin 1:00 pm until service time Thursday, April 5, 2022, in the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Zion Hill Cemetery.
