Shirley Fay (Hodge) Kesinger, of Groveton passed away November 2, 2022, at the age of Seventy. Shirley was born on February 3, 1952, in Cleveland, Texas to father, Robert Lee Hodge and mother, Hazel Marie (Thornton) Hodge.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren. Shirley was the baby of the girls and thirteenth of fourteen children. She always had a smile on her beautiful face when you seen her. She never met a stranger. Loved to talk to her siblings on the phone.

Mrs. Kesinger leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband, Thomas Kesinger of Groveton; sons: Keith Kesinger of Groveton, Calvin and wife, Heather Rosier of Groveton, daughters: Michelle and husband, Arther Renfro of Big Sandy, LeeAnn and husband, Wendell Thompson of Groveton, Stefanie and husband, Aaron Mochman of Groveton, Teri Thompson of Groveton, Alex and husband Jose Gonzalez of Lufkin; brothers: Jerry Hodge and wife Theresa of Buffalo, Weldon Hodge and wife Mary of Elkhart, Larry Hodge and wife Tammy of Palestine; sister: Linda and husband Bobby Singletary of Pointblank; sister: Brenda Bynum of Carthage; brothers: Pat and Sharon Kesinger of Groveton, Mark and Wba Kesinger of Rosenburg, 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and many friends also survive.

Shirley is going home to see her loving parents: Robert and Hazel Hodge; Marie and Bob Hibbitt, Grace and Doug Lamb, Joann and Dean Barnes, Barbara and Jr. Wilson, Sammy Hodge, Kenneth Ray (Mike) Hodge, James Robert Hodge, Billy Jack Hodge, Raymond Hodge, Debbie Ann Jerrett, Ricky Lamb, Pat and Doris Kesinger, Dale Ray Kesinger, James Kesinger, Robert Rosier, Bobby (Booshay) and Christina Thompson, Lil Fisherman Wendell Lamar Thompson.
Visitation for Shirley will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, November 5,2022 with Bro. Buford Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Kesinger Cemetery.
