Sherie Lin DeLaFosse, born on July 26, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to Richard William Wilson DeLaFosse and Jessie Faye (Womack) DeLaFosse, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Sherie was a devoted paramedic who lived her faith through service, offering help, comfort, and hope to those in need. She believed wholeheartedly in serving the Lord by caring for others and giving back to her community. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, but nothing brought her greater joy than being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and the greatest legacy she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous siblings. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Brandi Felder; her son, William Oliver; her grandchildren, Matthew Legg, Crysta Long, Jessica Kirchner, Richard Kirchner, Jr., Abigayle Felder, and Christian Felder; her great-grandchildren, Collin Long, Hudson Long, Jayden Kirchner, and Aiden Kirchner; along with numerous siblings, relatives, and friends.

Graveside services for Sherie Lin DeLaFosse will be held Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas.

Sherie answered the call to serve without hesitation. As a paramedic and first responder, she stood on the front lines in moments of crisis, offering calm, courage, and compassion when it was needed most. Her work was an extension of her faith and her heart, and she treated every life she encountered with dignity and care. Sherie's legacy lives on not only through her beloved families, especially her cherished grandchildren—but also through the countless lives she touched in emergency moments that will never be forgotten. Her service, sacrifice, and love for others will remain an enduring testament to a life well lived.
