Obituary

Memorial services for Sheila Denise Flowers, 59, of Groveton, Texas, will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Oaklawn Baptist Church with Bro. Lester McAdams officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Ave, Lufkin, Texas 75904 or call 800-324-8557. The family would also like to request that contributions be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Fund.

Mrs. Flowers was born on November 7, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Richard Eugene and Virginia Jean Keihl and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Jean Keihl Miller; Aunt Pearl Tharp Miller; Uncle John and Edith Tharp; Uncle Obie Tharp; Uncle Earl Tharp.

Sheila was married to her loving husband Ronnie Dale Flowers for forty-one years and they spent most of their lives together at their home in Groveton. She loved to bake cookies, make jelly and candies, and then deliver them to her friends and family. She enjoyed playing Pictionary and outdoor games with the kids; volleyball, croquet, riding horses. She loved hunting for arrowheads, through wind, rain and thunderstorms, encroaching alligators, intense summer heat, and stinky-muddy water. She loved her puppies and she loved to work. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronnie Dale Flowers; daughter, Leah Kellie Flowers Luce and husband, Mark Luce; son, Ryan Deven Flowers and wife, Kristy Irene Flowers; grandchildren, Sean Isaac Luce, Megan Rebecca Luce, Elora Dawn Flowers, Brianna Daniele Flowers, Conner Dillion Flowers and Kandace Ballew; niece, Jenny Miller and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
