Sara Nell Lange of Groveton, Texas, was born on June 24, 1936, in Josserand, Texas (Trinity County) to Lemmie and Susie (Mullins) Witt and passed away to her eternal home on August 30, 2021, at the age of 85 years in Lufkin, Texas.
Mrs. Lange loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved spending time with George, her pet cat. She enjoyed cooking for her family, doing crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible daily. Sara loved the lord and held a membership at the Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church of Houston, TX.

Mrs. Lange is survived by her children: daughter, Elizabeth Diane Jones; daughter, Blanche Louise Stephens and husband, Roger; son, John R. Hagen and wife, Susan; daughter, Susan Brooks; sister, Letisha Witt; grandchildren: Christopher Rapoza, John Kie Barton, Jacob Douglas Brooks, Thomas Dean Stephens, Shelby Hope Watkins; great grandchildren: Cordell Rapoza, Chase Savacool, Jadon Rapoza, Skylar Rapoza, Taylor Jane Barton, Kie Barton, John Kie Barton Jr., Lily Anne Watkins, and a host of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends also survive.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents, Lemmie and Susie Witt; husband, Donald D. Lange; brothers: Lemmie Witt Jr., Gerald Odom Witt, Weaver Witt, Glenn William Witt, Clifford Witt.

Visitation will begin Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:00 AM until 11:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX. Graveside services will begin at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021with Ben Shoane officiating. Burial will follow in Trevat Cemetery in Trevat, TX.
