Sara Margaret Lowry Brown of Hudson, Texas passed into God's hands on the morning of Friday, January 1, 2016 at Groveton Nursing Home at the age of 92.
Mrs. Brown was born on May 15, 1923 to O.C. and Esther Terry Lowry of Lufkin, Texas.
Margaret will be remembered as a kind and caring woman, full of wisdom and grace, much-loved by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Brown, Jr., and her two sons – Roy H. Brown, III and Kirby H. Brown. Her survivors include brother David Lowry of Corpus Christi; two daughters-in-law – Kathy Brown of Groveton and Theresa Brown of Plano; grandchildren – Clyde Houston Brown of New Braunfels, Courtney Brown Rector of Tomball, Elizabeth Brown of Plano, Amy Drummond of San Antonio, and SFC James Carrol of the United States Army currently stationed at Camp Zuma, Japan and his wife, Tasha; seven great-grandchildren – Jordan and Emily Rector, Lindsay and Lauren Drummond, and J.D., Tiara, and Jaleen Carroll; nieces, nephews, and other family.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Groveton Nursing Home for their care and compassion to Mrs. Brown during her stay.
