Taylor
Feb 16, 1948 — Aug 18, 2021
Pasadena
Sandra Kay Taylor of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Groveton was born on February 16, 1948, in Lufkin, Texas to James Grady Kendrick and Leta Fae (Kemper) Kendrick and passed away to her eternal home on August 18, 2021, at the age of 73 years in Houston, Texas.
"Aunt Sandy" was disabled since the age of seven years. She contracted polio on Memorial Day weekend of 1955. She wasn't expected to live or walk but, in both areas, she showed the devil he was wrong. She overcame those struggles and grew into a beautiful young woman. A friend of hers had entered Sandy into the most beautiful contest and she won the title in 1966. She was beautiful both inside and out. Sandy was a devout Christian and she loved to help people with their pursuit in finding Christ. She dedicated her life to God, and she served as a mentor to numerous facebook friends who struggled with their problems. Sandy was the brains of her husband George's eBay antique car business. They were high school sweethearts and were married for almost 53 years.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her loving husband, George C. Taylor; brother, Keith Martin Kendrick; sister, Gwen Varnon and numerous cherished nieces, nephews and other relatives, and friends also survive.
Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her parents, Leta and Grady Kendrick and a brother, Leland Kendrick.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Bennett Cemetery with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating.
