Funeral Services for Mr. Samuel Edward "Buck" Smith,85 of Apple Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home. Bro. Lewis Jones will officiate. Interment will be in the Pennington Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6pm-8pm.

Samuel "Buck" Smith was born September 21, 1925 to the late Earl and Pearl Magee Smith in Pennington, Texas. He passed away October 3, 2010 in Apple Springs, Texas.

He is Preceded in Death by his Parents, Brothers: Earl Smith and Vernon Smith, Special Friends: Melvin and Winston Holmes.

He is survived by his Children: Clifton and Pat Smith of Apple Springs, Nita and Mitchell Woods of Crockett, Roger Smith of Pennington, Stephanie and Harvey Offer of Huntington, Kenny and Lori Smith of Pennington, Kayla and John Smith of Nacogdoches; Grandchildren: Jason and Lindsey Smith, Jessica and Thomas Gooch, Amanda Smith, Savannah Offer, Dawna Offer, Ryan Smith, Taylor Smith, Hunter Smith, Kaleigh Parten, Chelsea Parten, Tessa Williamson, Tyler Taylor; Great Grandchildren: Kristin Smith, Karson Smith, Christian Clark, Kameron Williamson, Zander Kennings, Penelope Rogers; Sisters: Margie Faye Eastepp, Lois Henry and husband Wallace; Sisters-in-law: Bobby Smith and Alta Smith as well as Numerous Other Relatives and Friends.
