Groveton
Roy Len Jennings, of Groveton, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the age of eighty, peacefully. Roy was born on September 11, 1941, in Diboll, Texas to father, Lendell Jennings and mother, Ada Mae McAdams.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family, and friends. He also enjoyed his extended family at Oaklawn where he taught Sunday school for a time. Roy was a City of Houston Firefighter for many years. After retiring from the Fire Department, he and Joyce enjoyed making and selling arts and crafts before finally settling down for good in Groveton and becoming more involved in their Church.
Roy leaves behind to cherish his memories, his brother, Arlie Ellis Jennings and wife, Aileen of Groveton, TX; daughters: Nancy Lynn Ridge and husband, Cat of Clearwater, FL, and Rhonda Sue Grimes, and husband, Mark of Shoreacres, TX; grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Taylor Grimes and wife, Angeline, Kailey Grimes, Lindsey Moers, Robert Moers, Conrad Moers, and Richard Wooten and wife, Allison; great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren: Isla Degen and Maxwell Robert Wooten; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family, and many friends also survive.
Mr. Jennings is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Jennings; father, Lendell Jennings; mother, Ada Mae McAdams.

Collin Brookshire, Colton Burleson, Dylan Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Oaklawn Baptist Church in Groveton with Brother Lester McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in the San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston, Texas at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oaklawn Baptist Church of Groveton, TX.
