Robert Larry Cook, age 59 of Woodlake, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, in Lufkin. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 16, in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating.

Larry was born December 9, 1954 in Pasadena to Robert Luther Cook and Bettie Marie Roach. He worked as a truck driver for numerous years until his retirement. Prior to his retirement, he and his family moved to Trinity County in the mid-1990s and made their home in Woodlake. Larry enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his family doing many different activities. He had a love for hunting, fishing and cooking out on the pit. He was very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Luther Cook and Bettie Marie Roach; fraternal grandparents, Kirby Cook and Gracie Lee Cox; maternal grandparents, Maggie D. Keene and Michael H. Roach.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Cook, of Woodlake; two children; daughter, Tanya Hawkins, of Killeen, son, Robert R. Cook, of Woodlake, step son, Randy Alexander and wife, Stephanie, of Pasadena; five grandchildren; sister, Molly Rouse and husband, Mel, of Glendale; sister, Carolyn Cook, of Huntsville; sister, Sally A. Smith and husband, Paul, of Cleveland and a host of other relatives and friends.
