Funeral services for Ricky Wayne Cloninger, Jr., 35, of New Caney will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home with Brother Ron Rogers of Forest Wood Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nogalus Prairie. The family will receive visitors Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Groveton Funeral Home. He will be escorted to his final resting place by his pallbearers: Larry Cloninger, Jr., Jesse Cloninger, Arthur Warren, Michelle Warren, Dewayne Dennison and Jeremy Von Brunow.

Ricky was born on June 1, 1980 in Houston, Texas to Ricky Cloninger, Sr. and Charlotte (Baird) Cloninger and passed away September 27, 2015. Ricky was full of life and adventure. He loved to be outdoors on the water doing a little fishing because that was one of his biggest joys about life. Ricky loved spending time with his family and taking his children to the races. He also enjoyed singing, listening to music and drawing. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed working as an electrician. He was a very loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandson and a friend to many.

Ricky, Jr. is survived by his children Hunter, Jace and Bella Cloninger; parents Ricky, Sr. and Charlotte Cloninger; sister Deanna Hamilton and brother-in-law Jeff; Grandmother Laverne Killingsworth; two nieces Samantha and Piper; nephew Jedediah and a host of other relatives and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Eva Black; grandfather John Baird; grandfather Larry Wayne Cloninger and step-grandfather Mike Killingsworth.
