Richard "Dick" Banks Jr. was born July 8, 1930 in Overland Park, Kansas to Richard Thomas Banks Sr. and Eulah Mae Arnold Bush. God called Richard home on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the age of 89.

Mr. Banks was a pilot, he loved to fly. He loved motorcycles. He enjoyed fixing up and tinkering with older classic cars and trucks in his spare time and he also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Lena Dale Banks. They traveled all over the country throughout their livelihood as part of Richard's career. He was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge #284 AF & AM.

Mr. Banks is survived by his daughter, Candace Banks Henthorne, and husband, Jeff Henthorne of Spring, TX; sister, Shirley Bush Helzberg and husband, Barnett Helzberg of Shawney Mission, Kansas; grandchildren: Ryan Dale Henthorne, Richard Lee Henthorne and wife, Donelle, Brent Edward Banks, and Andrea Banks Goodson; great grandchildren: Emerie Joy Henthorne, Adalynn Marie Henthorne, and Alexa Goodson, Trey Goodson; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also, survive.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Dale Banks, father, Richard Banks Sr.; mother, Eulah Arnold Bush; son, Ronald Edward Banks; daughter, Sherry Banks; sister, Mary Dale, and brother, Paul Bush.
