Rhonda Sue Whitley was born May 9, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Marlen Taylor Bass and Wanda Fleming Bass. She was called to her eternal home on October 28, 2020 in Houston, TX at the age of 67 years after her courageous battle with cancer.
Rhonda was a devoted mother and wife. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and going to gamble.
Mrs. Whitley is survived by her loving daughters, Melissa Espino and husband, Javi; daughter, Diane Pigg; grandchildren: Sean Delacruz and wife, Michelle, Sandie and husband, Brad, Chase Allen Gibson, Jessica Watkins and fiancé, Brick Beecher, Cody Powell, Austin Smith, Bonnie and husband, AJ, Bubba, Monica Smith, Dawson Chumley, Dylan Pillows, Tanner Smith; great grandchildren: Connor Delacruz, Carter and Kinsley; brother, Gene Bass and wife, Kay; niece, Malinda Hicks; niece, Stephanie Smith; niece, Joanne; nephew, Bruce Whitley; special friends: Susan Garcia, Misty Gross, Raina Garcia, Toni Garcia, Kathy Garcia, Liz Price and a host of other relatives and friends, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Whitley; son, Wayne Gibson, Jr.; sister, Nancy Liles; uncle, Bob Fleming; aunt, Sue Fleming.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas
