Ray Lee was born in Lufkin, TX to Bobby J. Lee and Ruth Havard Lee on April 29, 1957 and was called to his eternal home on July 13, 2020 in Groveton-Centerville, TX.
Ray was a wonderful husband and a devoted father and grandfather. He loved his family and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ray was a hard worker and did everything that he could to take care of his family. He loved to hunt, fish and garden during his free time. But he was most known for his skills in hog hunting.
Mr. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Loraine Lee of Apple Springs, TX; son, Melvin "Ray" Lee, Jr. and wife, Shona of Groveton, TX; daughter, April Lee of Nacogdoches, TX; daughter, Carrol Troxell and husband, Curtis Troxell of Nacogdoches, TX; daughter, Joyce Sense and husband, Jeff Sense of Pasadena, TX; son, Ben Bridges of Rye, TX; sister, T.C. Lee of Lufkin, TX; brother, Bobby Glen Lee and wife, Debbie Lee of Groveton-Centerville, TX; sister, Sherry Hickman of Huntington, TX; brother, Rex Lee of Robbins, TX; brother, Robert Lee and wife, Sherry Lee of Groveton-Centerville, TX; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby J. Lee and Ruth Lee and grandparents, Melvin Havard and Nancy Havard.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX on Friday, July 17, 2020.
