She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.B. and Odevia Pyle; brothers, Roy Lynn Pyle, and Michael Pyle; and sister, Audrey LeBlanc.
Phyllis was a woman of many talents and endless creativity. She had a gift for turning her ideas into beautiful creations and a special love for decorating her home for the holidays. She delighted in celebrating with her family and treasured her trips into town for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with loved ones. She enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair on the porch, coffee in hand, and found joy in planting flowers and mowing her yard. A devoted student of the Bible, she read and studied it daily.
Phyllis believed in sharing meals together, especially a hearty breakfast—and cherished game nights and long conversations around the kitchen table. She was a mother, aunt, and confidant to many. While she could be strong-willed, her unwavering love and loyalty were constant. She had a tender spot for animals and enjoyed napping with the family's beloved pets. In her younger years, she loved to go dancing, making wonderful memories along the way.
Pallbearers will be Clint Rosser, Patrick Risinger, Brian Lenzmeier, Shane Martin, Cody Pyle, and Peyton Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Axl Rosser and Braylan Rosser.
Services will be officiated by Nathan Davis. The family will welcome friends for an open visitation on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas. A private graveside service will be held later.
