Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Hamilton Pitman, 64 of Etoile will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14th, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Nogalus Prairie, Texas with Brother James Whittlesey officiating and Ben Wells assisting. Visitation will be held Sunday evening at Calvary Baptist Churh in Nogalus Prairie beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow services in Calvary Cemetery in Nogalus Prairie, Texas.
Peggy was born February 27th, 1952 in Lufkin, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 at her home in Etoile, Texas after her courageous battle with Cancer. Mrs. Pitman was an extremely hard worker. She loved her family and she especially loved spending time with them whenever she could. She was an overly dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed getting to socialize and never met a stranger anywhere that she traveled. She and Ronnie enjoyed vacationing at the casinos and traveling across the states. Peggy was raised attending church at Calvary Baptist Church for many years of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Alice Wells; a brother David Carter Wells; great granddaughter Alexis Cheyenne Hamilton and son-in-law Jeramy Peterson.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie Pitman of Etoile, Texas; her children: daughter Renee Peterson of Diboll, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Christy Hamilton of Mays, Indiana, daughter Kelly Hamilton of Diboll, Texas; eight grandchildren: Cecilia Rooney, Shaun Rooney, Kayla Brown and husband Brandon, Cody Hamilton, Carter and Mason Hamilton, Trinidy Thompson, Trenton Hamilton; great grandchildren William Jones, Alyssa Brown and Kevin Brown; step children Dana Chaka and husband Rick; step grandchildren Christy, Summer and Tessie Chaka; sister Virginia Myers and husband Moe; sister Joyce McMullen; sister Carol Edwards and husband Mack; sister Sandra Moore; brother Ben Wells and wife Juanita Wells; sister Paula Goss; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tommy Pitman and wife Bonnie; brother-in-law Kenny Pitman and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
