Paul Peyton Morris, 76, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away peacefully in Longview, Texas, on July 22, 2026.
Paul was born on June 25, 1950, in Huntsville, Texas, to David D. Morris and Lena Mae (Jackson) Morris. Throughout his life, Paul found joy in the open road and the beauty of the outdoors. He worked as a truck driver, a career that allowed him to travel and see many sights along the way. He treasured the experiences and memories gathered throughout his journeys.
When he was not working, Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and playing with his beloved dog and faithful companion, Peanut. He also valued time with his friends and loved making new memories with those closest to him.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lena Mae Morris; his brother, David Morris Jr.; and his sister, Lanelle Abke.
He is survived by his children, Terry Morris, Kelly Morris, and Shelly Morris; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends whose lives were enriched by his friendship and presence.
Paul will be remembered for his love of adventure, the outdoors, and the people who shared life's journey with him. His memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and cherished moments he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
