Obituary

Patricia Jean Rogers was born in Kaufman, Texas on June 29, 1935 to Joseph Clinton Hulsey and Jeanette Wallace Hulsey.  She passed away on December 5, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 83 years.

Patricia was an extremely hard worker and loved to live life to the fullest.  She had one of the best work ethics known and always held a job.  She worked five jobs at one time and her children finally convinced her to retire at the age of 80 years.  She loved the Lord and was a firm believer in Christ and sharing her faith.  She belonged as a member of Burning Hope Baptist Church in Trinity, TX.  She also, served as a member of Harbor Point Property Association.  She loved to spend time with her family and friends.  Patricia was known by her family for sharing her jokes and keeping everyone on their toes.  She enjoyed researching genealogy and learning the historical background about her past family members.  She also, loved to paint, quilt, do anything craft related, travel and she especially loved to attend fairs or festivals.

Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James H. Rogers; her parents; Joseph and Jeanette Hulsey; an infant brother; and a granddaughter, Carli Collett.  Her survivors include her children:  daughter, Rhonda Bomer of Trinity, TX; daughter, Dawn Scott of Pearland, TX; daughter, Carolyn Bracci of Katy, TX; daughter, Becky Parisi of Cedar Park, TX; son, Rick Bomer of Colmesneil, TX; son, Rory Bomer of Tarpley, TX; son, James H. Rogers, Jr. of Cedar Park, TX; son, Steve Rogers of Dayton, TX; half-brother, Clinton Hulsey of Coldspring, TX; sixteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and a numerous other beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Parrish officiating.  Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.
