Patricia Ann
Henderson
Oct 2, 1943 — Jul 7, 2024
Groveton
On July 7, 2024, Patricia Ann Sheppard Henderson went home to be with the Lord at the age of eighty.
She was born on October 2, 1943, to William Earl Sheppard and Martha (Gantt) Sheppard, in Ysleta, Texas.
Patricia grew up in Ysleta and was raised attending the Methodist Church. At the age of eleven years, Patricia had her Baptismal. She loved attending the Rough Riders Roping Club with her father and eventually going to rodeos to watch her brother ride bulls. In 2008 Patricia had the honor of accepting the award for her (deceased) brother when he was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. After living in Missouri for a portion of her life, Patricia moved to Trinity County where she loved spending time with her family, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as often as possible. She owned and ran White Rock City Marina for several years where she loved to go fishing when time would allow. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and she had a gift for growing roses. She also was a past member of Eastern Star and a former leader with the 4H group.
Ms. Henderson was preceded in death by the father of her children, Alan Crouch; husband Carroll Vaughn and husband Jim Henderson; her parents, William and Martha Sheppard; two brothers: Bob and Bill Sheppard; sister, Rosie Mae Hill; grandson, Dustin Brown; son-in-law, Darwin "Bubba" Brown, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Cherryl Brown of Groveton, TX and Debbie Brown and husband, Alvin of Hudson, TX; son, Lynn Ray Crouch and Sandra Arthur of Rolla, MO; grandchildren, David Howard, Lou Ann Rock, Cody Brown, Erica Cook, Coy Crouch, BJ Brown, Clay Crouch, Dakota Crouch, Colton Crouch; great grandchildren, Bobby Williams, Hunter Williams, Charlie Crouch, Wyatt Crouch, Riley Brown, Rikki Brown; great- great grandchildren, Chase Williams and Blakely Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive.
Death leaves a memory no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. She will always be loved and missed dearly by her family and friends.
