Patricia Nan Driskell, of Lufkin, TX, formerly of Groveton, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the age of 79, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Patricia was born on May 23, 1942, in Houston, Texas to parents, R.L. Archibald and Lorene (Henderson) Archibald.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping in The Woodlands, one of her favorite stores was Foleys/Macys, everyone knew her by name and would call her about sales. She had a wonderful and adventurous life living in Singapore and Brunei for 10 years. She loved her beautiful home near Friday and Lovelady off Zion Hill Rd. where she spent many years with Louis enjoying the beauty of Bagwell Lake paddle boating and enjoying the views while swinging on the porch sipping her yummy, sweet tea with family. She hosted many parties for family and friends, including many birthday and swim parties. Her beloved lasagna, pralines and coconut cake was a favorite to many. She loved to take trips and traveled to many places! Our mother was such a hard worker. She worked for Joe Scott Evans Law Firm and worked there for 33 years before retiring. She loved the Groveton Community and had many friends. Special Friends are Janet Cassels, Cousin Peggy Franklin, Linda Lee, Nancy Jones, Susan Talley, Kelli Fails, Marleen Lovell, Margaret White, Tina Williams, and many others. She was a wonderful mother to her children and many grandchildren

Patricia leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter: Staci McCarty and husband, John of Lufkin, TX; sons: Wes Thomason and wife, Dru of Lufkin, Tx, Wade Thomason and wife, Nita of Friday, TX; step-son: Steven Driskell of Houston, TX; sisters: Phyllis Sitton of Pasadena, TX; grandchildren: Caleb McCarty, Kaci McCarty, Kelci McCarty, Adam Thomason, Bekah Thomason, Marcy Thomason , Ty Thomason, Jennifer Thomason, Erica Thomason, Alyssa Thomason, Chace and Chelsea Bartlett; and a host of other relatives, and many friends also survive.

Patricia is preceded in death by her loving parents, R.L., and Lorene (Henderson) Archibald; husband: Louis Driskell; sisters: Gayle Cummings, Sandra Archibald, Mona Archibald, Kayelynn Fain; John David Archibald, stepson: Timmy Driskell.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Driskell officiating. Visitation will begin 2:00 pm until service time Sunday, May 15, 2022, in the Groveton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Zion Hill Cemetery.
