Oma Dee Bush was born on August 2, 1922, in the Saron Community of Groveton, Texas to Minnie and James "Buster" Odom and passed away on November 30, 2021, in Mission, Texas at the age of 99 years.
Oma is survived by her nephews and nieces: William "Bill" or "Slick" Whitmyer, Minnie Sue Smith, James Scott, Carl Scott, Walter Scott, and John Scott; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives, and friends also survive.
Oma is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Bush; parents, Minnie and "Buster" Odom, brothers, and sisters: Jim Odom, Joe Odom, Lucille Bezdek, Matty Smith, Nelly Odom, Willie King, and Lilley Mae Scott; nieces and nephews: Jim Bob Odom and Sally Odom, Geraldine Odem, and Donald Wayne Scott.
Graveside Memorial Celebration of Life Services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2021, at 10 AM at Thornton Cemetery in Trinity, Texas with Bro. Drew Scott officiating and nephew Carl Scott assisting. Burial will follow in Thornton Cemetery.
