Odessa passed from this life on October 6th, 2024, she was born on February 7th, 1936, to David Conrad Bailey and Atmo Ovieda Bailey in Westfield, Texas.
She married to Emett Charly Snyder, June 5th, 1954. Odessa lived a very good life faithful and loving to her faith in Jesus, love to her son and his children, and grandchildren. She lived her early married life in Pasadena and Deer Park, TX, moving back to Lufkin in 1986 to be close to her family. In 2023, Odessa and Emett moved to League City, TX to ease her care for dementia and other health issues.
She is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, Emett Charly Snyder; son, Larry Snyder and wife, Debra; grandsons: Christopher Snyder, Jonathan Snyder and wife, Ryan-Camille; great grandchildren: David Conrad, Lucas Robert, and Ava Elise; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, David Conrad Bailey; mother, Atmo Oveida Bailey; brothers: Odis Bailey, Bricen Bailey, Robbie Bailey, JD Bailey, and Myron Bailey; sisters: Thelma Able and Emma Schaefer and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family will receive visitors Friday, October 11, 2024, beginning at 1:00 P.M. until funeral service time at 2:00 P.M. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas with Bro. Mike Curry officiating. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery.
