Memorial services for Norman Wade Doyle, age 76, of Groveton, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton with Brother Lewis Jones officiating.
Norman was born on July 31, 1939 in Friday, Texas to the late William Herbert and Daisy (Ridley) Doyle and passed away August 22, 2015 in Lufkin. Mr. Doyle was a great story teller and he enjoyed getting to socialize with all of his family and friends. He also had a deep passion for being outdoors. He loved hunting, and whenever he could be out in the garden then that is where he could be found. Norman also enjoyed his games. He would play 42 or dominos at any time. He was a very loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
Mr. Doyle is survived by his four children: daughter Janet Grubbs and husband Russell of Nacogdoches, son Randall Wade Doyle and wife Denise Doyle of Pflugerville, daughter Rhonda Edmond and special friend Connie Jagnanan of Galveston, and daughter Jennifer Boone and husband Doug of Temple; loving mother of his children, Nancy (Hopper) Doyle of Temple; grandchildren John Hill, Trey Edmond, Billy Doyle, Karissa Boone, JennaKate Boone and Ian Boone; brother James Doyle and wife Amanda of Groveton, sister Barbara Bailey and husband David of Spring; step-grandsons and family Jeremy Fisher and wife Elizabeth and son Ethan, Jason Fisher and wife Jennifer and their children Jaydon and Marley, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Daisy Doyle, sister Ann Fussell; brother Howard Doyle, brother Charles Doyle, brother William Doyle, sister Carolyn Tsikas, sister Margaret Witt, brother, Frank Ridley Doyle, and special niece Patsy TerPoorten.
Fellowship will follow the services at First Baptist Church where food will be provided by Josserand Baptist Church and friends from Groveton Seniors Apartments.
