Nelda Joyce Coates passed from this life on December 23, 2020 in Deer Park, Texas at the age of 76 years. She was born in Kennard, Texas on October 8, 1944 to Donald John Campbell and Tina Bell Gates Campbell.
Joyce was a graduate of Galena High School the class of 1963. She worked for numerous years in sales with industrial supply company. She loved spending time with her family and she especially enjoyed sharing a special time with her daughter Kimberly when they were baptized at First Baptist Church of Galena Park in 1977. Joyce also enjoyed going out on road trips and getting out in her yard to work in her garden.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Donald John Campbell and Tina Campbell; brother, Jerald Campbell and sister, Jeanette Ryne. Her survivors include her loving daughter, Kimberly Coates Rhoden; grandson, Joshua Rhoden and wife, Dianna; great-grandson, Lincoln Rhoden; brother, Maxie Campbell and wife, Linda; brother, Eddie Campbell and wife, Clara; brother, Greg Campbell and wife, Susan and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also, survive.

Visitation will begin at 12 PM until service time at 2 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2020 at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX with Brother James Whittlesey officiating. Burial will follow in Ivie Cemetery in Kennard, TX.
