Funeral Services for Merry Burger, age 70 of Groveton, Texas were Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst, Texas. Visitation was Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until service time.

She was born June 16, 1940 in Irondale, Missouri to Theodore Gilbert Shoemake and Edna Marie Hayes Shoemake and went to be with the her Lord and savior on June 2, 2011 in Groveton, Texas.

Merry is survived by her daughter, Debbie Alaniz of Manuel, Texas, son, Troy Lovett of Conyers, Georgia, son, Brent Lovett of League City, Texas, brother, Robin Brewster, sister, Betty Sellers of Groveton, Texas, sister-in-law, Rosemary Dunaway of Farmington, Missouri, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
