Melanie Rebecca Painter, age 53, was born on October 2,1967 to Joe and Anna (Jones) Nash in Freeport, Texas and traded in her earthly home for a heavenly mansion on March 31, 2021 in Crockett, Texas. Melanie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a proud fan of the Groveton High school sports events. She loved kids no matter if they were hers or if they belonged to someone else. Melanie owned the Kidz Academy in Groveton. As a child, she got to travel the world. She attended and Graduated North Shore High School then moved on to San Jac College. On January 29,1988, Melanie married the love of her life David Painter.
Melanie is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, David Painter of Groveton; son, Aaron Painter of Groveton; daughter, Jennifer Painter of Groveton; son, Alex and wife, Sydney Painter of Huntsville; granddaughter, Amber Nash; grandson, Callum Painter and host of other relatives and friends.
Melanie is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Anna Nash; brother, Joey Nash; grandfather, Tommy Jones; grandmother, Pearl Jones.
Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Groveton Community Center at the Y in Groveton, Texas.  There will be a potluck lunch so please feel free to bring your favorite dish as we come together to remember the woman who loved us all.
