Maxie Lynn Campbell of Cleveland, Texas, was born at home on March 21, 1938, in Kennard, TX to Donald John Campbell and Tina Bell (Gates) Campbell and passed away to his eternal home on July 16, 2021, at the age of 83 years in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his loving Wife, Linda Campbell of Cleveland, TX; Son, Weldon Campbell and wife, Josie of Galena Park, TX; Son, Kevin Campbell and wife, Linda of Cleveland, TX; Son, David Campbell and wife, Michelle of Kingwood, TX; Step Children: P.J. Murray and husband, Patrick of Memorial, TX, Christy Rockett and husband, Tim of Galveston, TX, and Eric Locascio of Jacinto City, TX; Siblings: Eddie Campbell and wife, Clara of Wimberly, TX, Greg Campbell and wife, Susan of Nogalus Prairie, TX; Grandchildren: Kirsten Massey and husband, Darrell, McKenna Miller and husband, Jared, Ashtin Campbell, Kent Campbell, Madison Campbell, Daniel Murray, Cavan Rockett, Rylan Rockett, and Taylor Locascio; Great Grandchildren: Levi, Audrey, and Bowen Massey, Ellison, Easton, Emmy Jo, and Eli Miller, Evelyn and Denali Murray, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Campbell graduated from Galena Park High School in 1957 and later in 1985 married his wife, Linda Schreiber Campbell. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was extremely important to the Campbells', they met yearly for family reunions in New Braunfels for sixty-plus years. Mr. Campbell also served in the Army Reserves and was stationed in Ft. Riley, Kansas in 1961. He was also highly active within his community. He served as a city councilman for Galena Park for twenty years, served as a member of the Arabia Shriner's Club and was a Mason with the Galena Park Lodge #1290. He also owned his own electrical company for sixty years. Maxie loved wood working, vegetable gardening, traveling, and spoiling his wife whenever he could.

Mr. Campbell is preceded in death by his mother, Tina Bell Campbell; father, Donald John Campbell; sisters: Mary Jeanette Ryne and Nelda Joyce Coates; brother, Gerald Wayne Campbell.
The family will host Celebration of Life services Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at The River Pointe Church of Channelview. 970 Dell Dale Channelview, TX 77530
Sunday, August 1, 2021, Committal service at Ivie Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. and immediately following is Fellowship at "the Homestead" in Kennard, TX.
