Mavis Reeves, 100, has joined her beloved husband in Heaven, the late Loyd P. Reeves, to rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on January 7, 2015 in Tyler, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., January 10, 2015 at Bennett Cemetery with Pastor Neil Kemper officiating. Burial will follow at Bennett Cemetery.

Mrs. Reeves was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her son and his family. Also, she has numerous extended family members and very dear friends who will miss her greatly. She was passionate about her religious faith and lived her life accordingly. A Devout Baptist, she was a member of the Baptist Church her entire life. Mavis was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. A marvelous cook, she was always baking and sharing with others. Retiring from Sam Houston State University, Mavis was Head Cashier of Food Services' there.
