Funeral Services for Mattie M. Moore, age 94 of Pennington, Texas will be Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Turner and Bro. Dee Queen officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday evening from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.

She was born August 4, 1916 in Trinity County, Texas to Thomas Albert Thompson and Fannie Mae Thomas Thompson and went to be with her Lord and savior on May 12, 2011 in Flat Prairie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Fannie Mae Thompson, her husband, Buck Moore, daughter, Rose Pegoda, sons, Paul, Tommy, and Jerry Moore, grandchild, Cory, great grandchildren, Jordan, Mark, and Wesley, brother, Earnest Thompson, sister, Reba Bynum.

Mattie is survived by her son, David Martin Moore and wife Linda of Crockett, Texas, son, John Moore of Groveton, Texas, son, Billy Moore and wife Delores of Groveton, Texas, daughter, Martha Smith and husband John of Groveton, Texas, daughter, Cherian Holland and husband Willard of Groveton, special niece and nephew, Mary Terrazas and James Bynum, 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
