Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Dee Holmes, 79 of Pennington will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016 in the Pennington Baptist Church in Pennington, Texas with Brother Bud Magee officiating and Brother Lester McAdams assisting. Burial will follow services in Pennington Cemetery in Pennington, Texas.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 21st, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas.
Mrs. Holmes was born November 30th, 1936 in Pennington, Texas and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 in Cypress, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Dee W. Hughes and Geneva King Hughes; her husband Billy Bob Holmes, Sr. and three sisters Allie Arnold, Kitty Magee and Cora Troutman.
Mary is survived by her sons Billy Bob Holmes, Jr. and wife Zoe Ann of Cypress, Texas and Galen W. Holmes of Austin, Texas; daughter Deidra Ann Holmes of Webster, Texas; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law Ola May Lowery of Possumwalk, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
