Mary Martha Williams-Dolan, 77, was born in Pennington, Texas on July 19, 1942 to parents Harvey Hiram Williams and Mary Vern Driskell-Williams.  The Lord called Martha home on June 8, 2020 after a long battle with lung illness.

Martha grew up in the Pennington area and graduated from Groveton High School in 1960.  Martha married the love of her life, Walker Lee "Bud" Dolan, on June 18, 1968 in Liberty County, Texas.  The two were completely devoted to each other for almost 52 years prior to her death.  Their marriage was blessed by the presence of their six children.

Martha is survived by her loving husband Bud Dolan and their six children: Vicki Hiser; husband Larry, Terri Martin and husband Tony, Wendy Hall and husband John, Paul Dolan, Patti Castle, Pam Painter, and husband Len Merchant.   She is survived by nine grand-children:  Michael Ray Manahan, Andrew William Acosta, Cody Lee Castle and companion Marsha, Anthony Caleb Castle, Paul Lee Dolan and wife Krystal, Kolbi Lynn Dolan, Kevin Lee Hall and wife Kim, Kyle Wayne Hall and wife Erin, Dustin Wade Willis and wife Lindsay, Kasey Danielle Williams and husband Jacob.  Martha is also survived by numerous great grandchildren:  Hadley Beth Williams, Aubrey Reagan Williams, Kenley Nicole Williams, Hayden Lee Dolan, Ryan Raye Dolan, Riley Forsberg, Joshua Forsberg Jr., Macey Nicole Castle, Lane Krystene Hall, Walker Wayne Hall, Lauren Dale Hall, John Luke Hall and Avery Elaine Hall.

Martha was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Hiram Williams; mother, Mary Vern Driskell-Williams and brother, Harvey Hiram Williams, Jr.

Martha was a perfectionist at everything she put her hand to in life.  She worked outside the home at times, but her accomplishments at home were the ones that gave her the most joy.  Martha was an avid gardener who loved to grow flowers as much as she did her vegetable garden.  Martha's home canned specialties were enjoyed by everyone in the family.  Martha was an avid fisherwoman and hunter, often bringing in the largest prize of the day.  Then serving that fish or game up in amazing meals she prepared.  Martha loved cooking for her family, and her Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners will be remembered by everyone with great fondness.  Martha loved to host big events bringing the family all together any time she could.  Martha had passion for birds and bird watching and care was one of her great pastimes.  She was also an accomplished seamstress and made many beautiful pieces of clothing for her children during their childhood and teen-age years.  Martha was a servant to her family, and especially to her beloved husband Bud, whom she always gave the best of whatever her table had to offer. She loved to feed her Bud, Buddy Boy, or Mister Bud the very best.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, TX.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Cameron Veazey of Onalaska First Assembly officiating.  This will be followed by a graveside service at Weldon Cemetery in Weldon, TX.
