Funeral Services for Mary Sue Alexander, age 96 of Groveton, Texas were Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:30 AM in First Baptist Church in Groveton, Texas with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas at 3:00 P.M. Visitation was Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Groveton Funeral Home.

She was born November 23, 1914 in New Albany, Mississippi to Willie Earl Alexander and Armentia Welch Gregory and went to be with the her Lord and savior on May 16, 2011 in Groveton, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Earl and Armentia Gregory, husband, Joe Alexander, daughters, Jorene Legg and Sue Waggoner, sons, Ray and Wiley Alexander.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sandra Cole of Groveton, Texas, son, Jerry Alexander of The Woodlands, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Don and Pat Alexander of Spring, Texas, son-in-law, Jr. Legg of Groveton, Texas, brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Vera Gregory of Houston, Texas, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
