Margie Kay Woodworth, beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in The Woodlands, Texas, at a medical facility. She was born on August 16, 1945, in Houston, Texas, to Bonnie Walker and Velma Flint Comiskey. Margie's life was one defined by love, faith, and a deep devotion to family.
Margie dearly cherished the life she shared with her late husband, Paul Howard Woodworth. Their marriage was rooted in companionship, love, and a shared interest in learning about the ministry, which helped shape her faith and guided her throughout her life.
Above all else, Margie's greatest joy was being a mother to her son, Ryan Wakefield. He was truly the apple of her eye, and her love for him was unwavering and unconditional. She took immense pride in him, and her devotion as a mother was evident in all she did.
Family was central to Margie's life. She especially treasured time spent with her cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters to her, and she deeply valued the closeness they shared. Margie also enjoyed traveling and creating special memories along the way. She found joy and fellowship as an active member of the Ladies Red Hat Club, where she formed lasting friendships until her health no longer allowed her to participate.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Howard Woodworth; her father, Bonnie Walker; her mother, Velma Comiskey; and her stepfather, Harold Comiskey.
She is survived by her pride and joy, her son, Ryan Wakefield; her stepchildren, Debra Gustavus, Jeff Woodworth and wife Alice, Michael Woodworth and wife Courtney, and Wesley Woodworth and wife Pam; her stepbrother, Bob Reinhold and wife Sandra; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and other relatives who will forever cherish her memory.
Margie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and the love she so freely gave to those around her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
The family will host a memorial service on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church of Livingston.
