Funeral Services for Mack Stevenson age 78, of Groveton, were held Tuesday, May 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of the Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Jack McMahon and Marvin Clinton Williams officiating. Interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton. Pallbearers were Ron Lankford, Coach Jim Bird, Justin Lumbreeraz, Gary Ables, Mark Ables, and James Ables. Honorary Pallbearers were the Groveton Football Players and Coaches. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice in the Pines or to the charity of your choice.

He was born June 10, 1933 in Groveton, Texas the son of the late Aaron McClelland Stevenson and Bernice Ables Stevenson and went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2012 in Lufkin, Texas. Mack is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Aaron Stevenson.

Mack is survived by his loving wife, Rachel W. Stevenson of Groveton; daughter, Deborah Brown of Tomball; son, Kent Stevenson and wife, Rene' of Crockett; step-daughter, Susan King of Woodlake; step-sons, Bobby Mack Smith of Humble, Thomas E. Smith of Onalaska, and Richard Moore of Kingwood; sister, Joyce Stevenson Loden of Houston. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
