Macie was the daughter of Curtis Edward and Gladys Irene (Hutson) Jenkins.  On February 1, 1942, she and Johnny F. Jackson were married.  Macie spent her lifetime in the Shady Grove Community until her move to Groveton Nursing Home in 2016.  She was a very talented seamstress and loved to crochet.  She also had a great passion for her family and friends, which included her cats.  Macie enjoyed gardening and had a special talent for growing plants.  After her move to Groveton, she found great joy in reading and playing bingo with her newly found friends there.

She is survived by her daughter, Polly Minter and husband, Melburn and many friends and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johny F. Jackson and son, James F. (Jim) Jackson.

Memorial services will be held in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019 with Bro. Lewis Jones and Bro. Lester McAdams officiating.
