Visitation for Lottie A. Collins, 80 of Groveton will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home until Funeral Services begin at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Lewis Jones officiating and Brother Charles Lowrey assisting. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton.

Lottie was born on June 6th, 1935 in Oil City, Louisiana to Barney and Ruby (Johnson) Rushing. God called Mrs. Collins home on Saturday, April 9th, 2016 in Groveton, Texas.

Lottie loved all of her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to travel and she especially enjoyed going back to her home state of Louisiana. She was a very sassy lady and she considered herself to be a cowgirl at heart. She enjoyed going shopping and being out with her friends. She also loved the outdoors and enjoyed going on camping trips and doing a little fishing. She enjoyed sitting down and playing with puppies or listening to the beautiful sounds of her wind chime collection.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Barney Rushing.
Lottie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Z.J. (Zeke) Collins of Groveton; daughter, Vicki Lynn Harvey of Houston; grandson, Andrew Schiro and wife, Paige Schiro of Houston; granddaughter, Angela Schiro of Houston; great-grandsons, Jack and Joshua Schiro of Houston; cousins, Norma Gann and daughters, Linda and Sharon of Wallis; "Baby Girl", Amity Edmonson and a host of other relatives and friends.
