Mrs. Lorene Smith, of Groveton, Texas, went to her eternal home on October 1, 2021, at the age of 93 years in Groveton, Texas. She was born on September 7,1928, in Pennington, Texas to Emily (Foster) and Charlie Freeman.

Lorene is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Smith, and a Host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends also, survive.
Lorene is preceded by her husband: William Raymond Smith; parents: Charlie and Emily (Foster) Freeman; infant brother.
Lorene loved quilting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Groveton. She was also a graduate from Pennington High School.
Visitation will begin Monday, October 4, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Flat Prairie Cemetery in Groveton, Texas with Bro. Matt Sharrock officiating.
