_{Mr. Lloyd "Sammy" Wesley Wilson, 73, of Groveton, Texas left this world on June 17, 2017 in Houston, Texas.  Sammy was born May 18, 1944 in Orange, Texas.  He was one of five children born to Jink Wesley Wilson and Lessie (Day) Wall.  Sammy had a kind and gentle spirit.  His grandchildren were the light of his life and he was so looking forward to the arrival of his grandson Blaine Cooper Wilson in August.  He loved to spend time with his family and his friends.  He also loved to fish, camp and play 42 at the deer camp.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He served in the United States Army over in Vietnam and later worked in construction for numerous years doing drywall and sheet rock until his retirement.}

_{Visitation for Mr. Wilson will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Cartwright Memorial Chapel of Groveton Funeral Home until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Groveton Funeral Home with Brother Lewis Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas}

_{Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his father Jink Wesley Wilson; mother Lessie Wall; two sisters: Joy Snyder and Florine Davis and his father-in-law Robbie Bailey.  Left to celebrate his life are his loving wife of 42 years, Debbie Wilson of Groveton, Texas; son Robbie Wilson and wife Mandy Wilson of Livingston, Texas; son Brad Wilson of Groveton, Texas; grandson Gunner Wilson; granddaughters Peyton Ordaz, Mercedes Wilson and Avery Wilson; sister Jenny Magee of Groveton, Texas; sister Sylverene Davis of Apple Springs, Texas; sister-in-law Holly Gilbert; sister-in-law LuAnn Fortenberry and husband Lowell Fortenberry; mother-in-law Betty Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.}
