In Loving Memory of Linda K. Townsend
October 23, 1956 – August 2, 2025
Linda K. Townsend, 68, of Nogalus Prairie, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at 12:22 PM, surrounded by her loved ones.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Later in life, she followed her passion for helping others by earning a degree in respiratory therapy. She went on to serve with dedication and compassion for eighteen years at CHI Memorial, where she made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and colleagues.
Her warmth, strength, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Joey Townsend; her son, Matthew Townsend and wife, Holly Townsend; her sister, Gwen Anders; and her cherished grandchildren: Addisyn Elliott, Matthew Townsend, Jr., Weston McDonald, and twin granddaughters, Naomi and Peyton. She also leaves behind her niece, Becky Kossa and husband, Eddie, and their children, and her nephew, Clint Anders, and his children.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Barbara Welborn, and her brother, Tommy Welborn.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, located at 2945 FM 357, Apple Springs, Texas, where family and friends are welcome to honor and celebrate her life. Pastor James Whittlesey will officiate.
