Leon Edman "Eddie" Eaves, Jr. was born in Trinity, Texas on March 4, 1955 the son of the late Leon Edman Eaves, Sr. and Betty Jean Pruitt Eaves. He passed away on January 4, 2019 in Apple Springs, Texas at the age of 63 years.
Leon graduated from High School and went on to attend a small Junior College. He was an extremely hard worker and loved to live life to the fullest. He worked as a truck driver for numerous years. He loved his family and he especially enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews grow up. He was known as the "jokester" by his family and he always enjoyed playing pranks on his siblings. He loved to eat his mother's fried chicken and sit outdoors to watch what nature had provided. He also enjoyed watching sports, traveling, burning camp fires, water balloon fights and sight-seeing.
"Eddie" is survived by his siblings: sister, Bobbie Eaves Cleaver and husband, Raymond of Groveton, Texas; brother, Joe Lynn Eaves of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Doris Ann Eaves of Apple Springs, Texas; seven nieces and nephews, Rodney Paul Cleaver, Jeana Leann Cleaver, Amanda Denise McAdams Beggs, Stacey Dianne McAdams King, Alyssa Darlyne McAdams Anthony, Michael Dewayne Eaves, Anthony Scott Eaves, Jodie Finke and Madison Jeffereys; sixteen great-nieces and nephews, Katie Cleaver, Victoria Smith, Kayla Houston, McKenzie McAdams, Kristin, Carter, Mackenzie, and Esme Anthony, Nolan, Cole, Andrew, Benjamin, and Lucas Beggs, Kaitlin, Jake, and Dani King; and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
"Eddie" is preceded in death by his parents, Leon Edman Eaves, Sr. and Betty Jean Eaves.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
