Lee Roy Carlton Jr. of Trevat, Texas, was born on September 14, 1950, in Houston, Texas to Lee Roy Carlton and Margaret (Keyland) Carlton and passed away to his eternal home on September 22, 2021, at the age of 71 years in The Woodlands, Texas.

Mr. Carlton is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jennifer Carlton of Groveton, TX; son, Brian Carlton of Brackettville, TX; daughter, Stephanie Long and husband, Tim of Conroe, TX; sister, Elizabeth Holden of Houston, TX, grandchildren: Carlton Long and Tyler Long; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also, survive.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Carlton and Margaret Carlton; brother-in-law, Willis Wayne Holden.

Lee loved fishing and hunting with his grandsons. He also loved bowling.  Lee and his wife would bowl in a league every chance that they had, and he played basketball in high school.   Lee loved sports and he refereed basketball for many years while his family resided in Conroe, TX. He also enjoyed working with cattle. Mr. Carlton was a mason with Eastern Star Lodge #284 and, Northwest Lodge of Spring #143.  He also was a member of Eastern Star Lodge #1035. Lee was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021, beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Groveton Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, Texas with Bro. Robert Lankford officiating.
